Summary of Skills

Management
Throughout my career I have undertaken an increased level of responsibility in planning and
management of projects and business development.

July, 2004 I formed the firm of “PMG Communication”.  The specialties of this practice are
those of:
•        Public Relations,
•        Community & Corporate Affairs,
•        Marketing,
•        Project Management,
•        Government Relations (Federally, Provincially, Municipally, and Regionally),
•        Event Production and
•        Grant and Proposal Writing
•        Media Monitoring.
•        Administration

Many of the groups that “PMG Communication” works with are volunteer Board of Directors
working within a mandate of their organization and are often non-profit associations. Working
with volunteers requires flexibility in time management and often with changing Boards of
Directors every other year.

My enthusiasm, administrative and government expertise and vast network throughout British
Columbia and to some extent Alberta are the key benefits that I bring to any project, program or
scenario that I become a part of.

Administration

As an Administrator for organizations such as the Quesnel Community Foundation, Alcan
Primary Metal Group, Avison Management Services and others as outlined in the Summary of
Work Experience I have been responsible for all duties and responsibilities related to:
-        Reporting to the Board of Directors all Association activities
-        Office Administration, Personnel, Payroll and Finance
-        Community and Government Relations
-        Advertising and Media Relations
-        Funding and Sponsor Partners

Communication

The written and oral communication skills I have gained through experience and professional
development activities.  I am comfortable delivering oral presentations to small or large groups.
Throughout the past five years and through my previous positions I have been involved in
presentations to elected official at the regional, municipal, provincial and federal levels as well as
to the general public and the media.  I have been a guest speaker at colleges, secondary schools
and with special interest groups.  As well I have developed and conducted educational seminars.

Over the past five years and through my employment history, I have developed effective public
relations and facilitation skills. Working with volunteer boards of directors has proven my team
building skills and has increased my sense of community and sense of responsibility in being a
part of each community that I live and work in.

Over the past five years of the creation and development of "PMG Communication" I have had
the good fortune of working with these outstanding clients throughout the central interior of
